What The Year Of Fashion Is Destined To Bring

A new decade has dawned, bringing with it exciting new trends that inspire our imagination. In this same situation ten years ago, who could have predicted what would be in style today?

It only takes two or three years for fashion revolutions to take place, so it’s advisable to focus mainly on what’s going to be happening in the very near future.

Let’s take a look at the hottest styles 2010 has in store for us. We’ll concentrate on women’s shoes, if that’s alright with you, because I just love them and writing about them is a pleasure for me. Wearing them is a big pleasure, too!

I have a shoe closet that’s just bursting at the seams. Let me tell you about the ones that are my favorites right now.

Christian Louboutin’s designs are all ultra chic these days. Take a look at the reptile leathers. With tons of personality and a big wow factor, you’re guaranteed an unforgettable entrance in those.

I’m also excited about the Roberto Cavalli ankle lace. It’s a fun boot in sleek black leather that boasts a fairly high heel and laces around the ankle. It’s a go-anywhere style that can be teamed up with all kinds of outfits.

Thigh-high boots with heels have recently emerged on the scene. These are not the easiest things to wear but they create an amazing look for anyone who can carry it off.

Lastly, Hunter rain boots have made a big comeback. A nice pair of Hunter Wellies is a practical and stylish alternative to the sneakers most of us tend to wear in wet weather.

On rainy days they’re my first choice because not only do they look good but they’re extremely comfortable, too.

Halloween Ideas For 2010

With Halloween on the way, it’s time to think about getting your costume. Many people have a hard time deciding what to be, and don’t end up getting their costumes until the very last minute.

Do you really want to end up browsing through a crowded Halloween store at the very last moment, rummaging through the remains of the costumes that everyone else pushed aside? No one does, but we just as easily find ourselves in that kind of situation every year. Try to avoid this in 2010 by acting early.

If you’re still having trouble figuring out what to be this year, I’d like to offer you a few suggestions that might serve as inspiration for the costume you eventually decide to go with.

1. Michael Jackson. Not only can you be the King of Pop, but since so many are honoring the life of this mega star this year, you can choose to be Jackson from a certain era.

Whether it’s the Michael from the Jackson 5, the Thriller Michael Jackson, or a later version of the star, there are plenty of great costume ideas relating to this. Expect to see the MJ costumes out in droves this year.

If you don’t like the idea of dressing up as Michael Jackson, you can always dress up as our president. Expect to see many Barack Obama Halloween costumes this season, not to mention the handful of Michelle outfits we’ll probably see as well.

Yet another idea is to dress up as Susan Boyle, the singing sensation who gripped the world with her unexpected talent. This is a pretty simple outfit to craft, and you’re guaranteed to get some compliments on it.

Happy Halloween everyone. I hope yours is safe and fun. Most importantly, I hope I’ve inspired you to make a decision on a costume. I know that the process of deciding what to wear can be a difficult one.
